My daughter and I decided to go camping with my brother. I had fallen the day before and had some fairly significant road rash. So I carted all sorts of medical supplies with me. Picture typical hiking gear, that’s what we packed. Plus my favorite, one of a kind “Women Who Write Too Much” t-shirt.
We were on our way to a high-mountain desert. My brother and I had to stuff an extra tent and a blow-up mattress in the car. We barely survived the first night; it was only 39 degrees, my road rash was killing me, and then the mattress gave out. We should have packed extra sleeping bags, sweatshirts, and thicker blankets, but we were already short on space. The next morning, we went into town to stock up.
It was an utterly miserable time for me. When it was time to finally head home, I gave up on organization. All we had packed, plus all we bought, got thrown haphazardly into the back of my trunk.
So why is this blog post on the Samani Bags website? The t-shirt. When I got home, it was gone. I figure it’s out there somewhere, blowing across the desert. Or some lucky woman found it and took up writing because of it and is now a famous author. As for me—the next time my brother drags me on a camping trip, I will be using Samani Bags.
They’re sustainable, so it’s not like using a plastic tote, and they can be configured in many different ways. And they’re pretty. I want two or three pink ones. They’re feather light, but can carry 70 pounds, and can sustain tremendous pressure, AND they are guaranteed to last through 5000 uses. That’s a lot of camping trips.
